These are some awesome bases; love the creativity here. I'll post my current base, but it's work in progress. Living and horde base in the desert, made a ramp for my vehicles. The ramp has a gap that can be jumped easily with a vehicle, but stop zombies. Fighting ground is a combination of electric fences, blade traps and dart traps.

I need to build a mote around my base

Not so much a base but a safezone trading hub I made on my server. I'm so proud of it. You go inside and there is player vending machines and community work benches and donation boxes.... It's actually quite popular

I've been building a base in Wasteland since day 60. Currently on day 160ish. Old base was in Pine Forest. Was tired of flying to Wasteland for higher tier quests. Will post my base within the next couple of days. It's pretty sweet. I took the Joe Bros Builders house on wheels and majorly overhauled it.

Died 7 times so I have to restart. I was going to keep going till 2.0 but who knows how long it will be

I don't know why I have never thought about just wrapping a small POI in a wall like this  My favorite POI to take over is a storage unit POI. I'll try this next time I run into it for sure!

Not a moat  you can see the rebar that I had placed down and I was building up a solid foundation to start laying down traps on the outside.  You can see the old catwalk on the central building and the wooden spike traps on the inside before I got the outer wall built.  And the pit that I was using to cluster up the zombies underneath for grenades and cocktails.

I think my first base for V2.0 will be one I build from scratch and expanding outwards over time.  I see pillboxes with auto turrets in my future

It worked pretty well and it forced zombies to hit my main gate however they did break the line and they ate my bones
