POI Light Enabler - Real Time

I suppose the Dedicated Server version won't work for SP?
There are separate downloads, One for SP if you just want to have it installed and not worry about the Dedicated Server version, the Dedicated Server is for those that want to install it for everyone on their server.

Me personally I just use the SP because I didn't want everyone on my server using it only admins.

Out of curiosit, should the file size be smaller than the original file? I am the ...\7 Days To Die\7DaysToDie_Data\Managed and my Assembly-CSharp.dll file is 7mb but your version is only 2mb. Seems like it took out data. Is that correct?

Replacing the DLL won't trigger a VAC ban will it? Since I know some game files are protected and will trigger a ban if modified.
You can only play on EAC disabled servers. I played for a hew hours on other servers with no issues.

Not sure what version you are downloading the file size is smaller and still in the 7mb range and that is all my builds. Sounds like you have a bad download, I just verified on the downloads they are all way above 2mb.

You're right. It was a bad download. Just clicked the link and redid the download and it came out to 6.91mb this time. Thanks, can't wait to try this out.

I put the dll in the proper directory, Im getting a black Screen with the mouse cursor, what am i missing?
Since this is a modded DLL you have to disable EAC, and you cannot play on any Servers that have EAC enabled.

it wont load the game at all, it boots up to a black screen.
Which file did you download? There are no issues launching it and getting into the game. In steam you have to use the launcher and UNCHECK the "Use EasyAntiCheat (EAC)" in order to play the game with this modded file, if you do not you will just get a black screen just like any other modded files in 7DTD because one of the core files has been altered.

b8 update? :D
I just redownloaded it and put the file in the appropriate directory after the update and it works fine. You have to remember that the update also updates any changed files so the assembly file went back to the original.

The old file will not be bug fixes.

You have to create a modlet for it. I have that way in the Mod I am working on already.
To pick up an item or block just simply add this to the block <property name="CanPickup" value="true"/>

To make it craftable just create a recipe for it.
x2.jpg you could put this in the very necessary game to be able to create an industrial factory in conditions or bunker the vanilla game does not have them and this should already be included to create a base in conditions I give you a picture of my factory I there are no elegant wall paintings or lights in the game vanilla is very limited and with luck and managed to create a factory as and could by the way I'm using your mod of there is red light in the industrial chimney x1.jpg

Hey, my girlfriend and I tested this mod, but we ran into some serious trouble and basically lost our savegame, and as far as I can see, there's no warning about such a risk in your post. We'd love to use the mod, so maybe you could give us some advice on what went wrong and how to prevent that from happening?

She always creates a game for 2 players; so we're not playing on any server, but she's hosting me locally. We're currently running 'latest experimental', which was b9 when we tried the mod. We both downloaded the file 'updated for b240' since that seemed to be the appropriate file (in my opinion, your initial post doesn't make very clear which file to use, or what the SDX version means or does, so we downloaded what seemed to be the latest 'standard' file). We made a backup of the dll, put your file in the data folder, started the launcher and turned EAC off. The savegame was shown in yellow, indicating a version mismatch - however, we downloaded your files on the same day you responded to someone in this thread that the mod should work for 'latest experimental', so we assumed that's okay.

We loaded the savegame - and our home base was basically reset to the way it was when we first entered it. Zombies inside, previously removed walls reappeared, furniture etc. gone. Her level was also reset from about 70 back to 1, even though her inventory remained untouched. Things like wall paint also remained untouched on blocks that already existed in the standard house, so it seems it simply reset all blocks we had created, but not those we only altered/repaired/painted.

Putting the backup dll back in place didn't fix it, of cource, since we didn't realize that our actual savegame and world files may be affected by this and would need backups as well.

So, do you know what went wrong? Would she need a different file since she's actually hosting the game? Would she need to use the version 'for dedicated servers' (which honestly sounds wrong, since we're not playing on or hosting a server when playing local coop only). Or is this not supposed to work for hosts at all, meaning that only I could run your dll to turn on all our lights? We have since started a new game, but with the standard dll in place, so we wouldn't risk losing everything on the next minor game update.

We'd appreciate your advice. :)

I dont have an asnwer for you, but a tip for avoiding updates breaking stuff. Apologies if you are awre of this, but seems like many are not so worth repeating now and then :) Make a copy of your your install folder, and play from the copy. Then when the game updates you wont be affected by the upate and can choose to update when everything is backed up for example :) Especially when using modded .dll files, since any file thats edited and not in the mods folder will be overwritten by steam. And I would also suggest regular backups of your saves, especially when installing or removing mods, its still an alpha game after all ;) I do that on my server everytime I add or update a mod, jsut to be on the safe side :)

All I can say about this mod, is that I used it for a while, but not installed on the server. A friend of mine did not have it installed, but he saw the changes I made if he left the chunk and came back.. So might not need to have it installed on both pc's.

Edit: I would also strongly advice you to not use an Assembly-CSharp.dll thats from an older version of the game than the one you're playing ;)
