PC Pipe bombs

I just died three times on day 7 horde night. I tried using pipe bombs. I would charge the bar about halfway and then throw. Went through the throwing animation, but the PB was still in my hands. Not enough time to throw again. Do I have to charge the bar all the way? Didn't we use to be able to just drop them? I remember being able to light and drop them as I ran.

i did a short video and have no issues at all. is there something that you are doing specific for this to happen... a video showing this and explaining would be very helpful.

I think they're bugged. I had that problem with molotovs. Couldn't throw them no matter what I did. Had to restart the game to fix it. Not sure what causes it.

 
Did you tried first charge the green bar then light up PB? By this way you should have enought time for second try.

I don't have a video. As far as I know I didn't do anything differently than I have in the past. Twice, I tried throwing one, only to have it stay in my hand. The third time, I fell to the ground and as I was running, I lit and tried to drop it(no green in the bar). I've done the run and drop many times before, but these were my first PB's in A17. I'll make some more when I get home and try again.

 
I tried throwing some more last night. Everything worked as it should. Must be a random glitch like bdubyah said. I had what might have been a similar problem with molotovs once, but I thought my aim was off and hitting something close to me. Most of the time they work fine.

 
Yup, I was hearing people sing the praises of molotovs, so I build a base where i could pop out the side and chuck molotovs at the horde on horde night.

The first one threw just fine....all the molotovs after the first, I'd try to throw the molotov, the green bar would charge (all different power levels), my arm would "throw" but no molotov....it just disappeared.

Got kinda sick of both wasting time and deleting the molotovs I'd made for no effect at all...

 
Yeah, I've had it happen multiple times now. And it always seemed to be on horde night. Lol.

Doesn't matter how long you charge the throw, or if you just spam the button. I haven't played much lately, been waiting for RWG to get fixed so I can start a new map, but I might try hopping in my test save and seeing if I can replicate the issue.

 
This always happened to me on horde night due to lag. I just stopped using them. It happens with molotovs also, just way less frequent.

 
Been a bit, but I just watched a JaWoodle vid where it happened to him, just so there is at least video proof of it happening.

We all know that this happens but TFP wants vids to confirm. Most of us do not have the knowledge or even interest to do that. Would be nice if the devs actually knew what they do... So much crap are said from the devs and modders constantly prove them wrong in what can and cant be done.
