PC/Windows V 2.16.17 stable - Stucked in Main Menu

Hey Guys,

yesterday I updated 7DTD from Steam (version A21.2 b37), downloaded the mod and saved it as shown in the Youtube video.
I disabled anti-cheat via the launcher and cleaned everything completely. So there are no more savegames.

When I start the game, I am stuck in the main menu with the following error codes in the console:

ERR [XUi] Error while updating window group 'mainMenu'
EXC Object reference not set to an instance of an object

ERR [XUi] Error while updating window group 'menuBackground':
EXC Object reference not set to an instance of an object

It does not matter whether I start the game via the Steam library as a non-Steam game or directly via the EXE. I then have to exit the game via Alt-F4.

In addition, the menu looks as if it is overlapping. As if 2 menus were placed on top of each other.

I hope you can help me. I really want to play the game and think I've simply done something wrong somewhere or not taken it into account.

 
You are trying to play a21 with a poorly written mod from a20. There is a blue banner with instructions on how to clear game data before playing a21. Pay particular attention to step 6 while you are doing that.

If you have any player data, maps, mods, or previous version saves, it will cause you a problem.

 
So,

first of all:
I've never really played 7DTD. This is the first mod I've used for it.
Everything has been carefully wiped.

I followed the steps from the blue banner and have now tried the versions from 21.2 to 20.7.
Each time I deleted all game files, cleaned everything and copied it in again.

The error remained the same each time.

So it MUST be something that has nothing to do with the A21.

You have a mod for Alpha 20 in Alpha 21. That will not work. Remove the mod.

If you have done that, and are still having an issue, post the new log. 

 
First, decide if you want to play with the UL mod

If so, delete the game and mod, delete all data, and have the game install as A20.  Then reinstall the mod and try again.

if not, then delete the game and mod, delete all data, and have the game install as A21.  Then start playing.

since you tried playing an A20 mod on A21 version, you need to make sure everything is wiped clean before reinstalling.

A21 works fine. A20 with UL mod works fine.
