PC Gamepass, How to Host a dedicated server?

Hello, I was looking at the (or a) guide on how to host a dedicated server and it makes reference to some steam specific things. Any idea how this will work on gamepass? I'd love to be able to get some pre work done so I can easily have the server up on the first day me and my group can play 7 days to die on gamepass.

The dedicated server is free so you don't need Gamepass to set it up. You can set it up now to be ready for your group later.
