PC Party and friend chat box not working

Okay, so I'm trying to figure out why I can't talk in the new friend and party chat. I use the arrows to switch from global to either party or friends based on what I'm doing, yet it always posts to global. So far, there was a few others who it happened to as well and it supposedly "just fixed itself". But after a full day mine hasn't. Everyone else on the server is able to use without issue.

I'm playing on a pvp server with minimal mods on e17. I have verified files, I have restarted steam and restarted my computer. I switched all my bindings back to default to see if that was the issue, but so far nothing is working. I don't know if it's my keyboard, but i use a Corsair strafe rgb. I have everything to factory settings, no bindings, nothing and still chat won't work.

I should clarify, I can switch the chat box to friends or party and type in it, but as soon as I hit "enter" it posts it to global.

Help please!

 
I sometimes have a similar problem. Try to post in global but seem to post in party (sentence is yellow)

Also are you moving your mouse at all at any time? I found you can change from global-friends-party by moving my mouse.

yep my mouse moves it too, it just doesn't go to party, always to global no matter what

 
I have to ask but are you still in the party? I noticed one time I couldn't get chat to party but had forgotten I had logged and when that happened I was no longer in party but had to be invited again. One of my doh moments... :)

 
yeah, I think something is up on my end. Trying to figure it out. probably a keyboard incompatibility or something
