parkour overhead

Since maxing the perk tree, I often bump my head on a ceiling and miss a jump that was designed for players without +2m height. Repeatedly. Shouldn't this perk benefit you in platformer puzzles?

I think parkour is one of those often overlooked and underrated perks. That being said, if I'm following you correctly, I agree that it could use some adjustments. There should be more nuance between quickly pressing the spacebar and holding it down (for x milliseconds) so that you could better control how high you jump. Pretty sure it already does this to some degree, but it takes some getting used to and, again, could use some tweaking.

This has been brought up before, but I don't recall if TFP ever talked about making an adjustment to it.  It's great in the open, but like you both mentioned, can be a royal pain in the arse in close quarters situations if you are not use to it.

I tend to avoid loading up on Parkour for this reason. If there's a way to partially jump, I've not noticed it for a while now, but I could have easily just have been that dense.

Yeah, that increase in jump height is great, usually. Sometimes I have to destroy a lower block to get to where I want to go. Kinda annoying since we can't control our jump height as yet.

definitely would benefit from the tried and true long press/max jump mechanic. nothing worse than falling on spikes you just place because you whack the heck out of your head on a block above. Last time I played a long game, my 1st death at day 24 was due to parkour mechanics in the above scenario.
