PC Option for turning off enrage on hit.

Ravenhearst now has 3 slider options for Rage, Super Rage and AlwaysRage. Each option have values of On, Off, or start raging at Gamestage X.

Junk turrets has more than compensated for the enrage. Every large POI gets my junk turret set down on any suspect room door way. Even on smaller POIs, setting the junk turret down at the main entrance leaves you an escape plan.

As stated previously in the thread, it's not necessarily about how easy or not easy it is to deal with rage mode. Some of us prefer walking zombies for immersion.

People also have to remember the common response to go modify the game is because it would be impossible for the dev's to implement every request they've gotten. Just off the top of my head people want options to

1. Control every zombie that spawns in a POI

2. In a horde

3. On Blood Moon

4. Control how common certain items are

5. Control how much damage zombies do to different types of items

6. Control how much damage players do to different types of items

7. Rage Mode

8. Rage mode per zombie

9. Whether Cops explode

10. Whether Cops spit

11. Whether food makes you sick

etc

There would have to be hundreds of options and when a game is still being designed and balanced its hard enough finding that balance BEFORE people go tweaking the game like crazy. Hence why your free to tweak it exactly as you want, but don't expect a ton of options to be added until the game is closer to launc if even then.

What a load of horseapples. I'm a 133t expert programmer and it would be absolutely trivial to allow all of those options and more. If the developers simply labeled each option and arranged them together in some sort of hierarchy perhaps then users could find and change any setting they wanted! They just provide a simple UI where the options are shown in their hierarchy and the user can hand-type whatever value they prefer. Maybe to make it easier they could break it up into different screens or tabs, like one for Items and one for Blocks and one for Loot and so on.

Here, I'll even design the UI for them, with cool angle-brackets on the labels for extra 133tness:

Code:
<lootRespawnDays> 7
<zombiesRunDay> 0
<zombiesRunNight> 1
<recipie "RepairKit">
 <item "ductTape"> 1
 <item "forgedIron"> 1
<end of recipe>
See how awesome that is? And that's just my first draft, wait until I get started!

All of that is just simple text on the screen and they just build a sort of editor for the text. Give it a cute name like Textpad or Notebook or I don't know something cool like that. Then all users could just load up the Loot or Items or Recipies configuration into TextNotePad UI and change them! So simple even a moron could do it.

I think the gist of what I'm reading here is to have the enrage mechanic a toggle instead of having it tied to a difficulty level is a good one. I, for one, would love to see an option where we get 'Zombie AI' options.

Like classic Romero vanilla zombies, Rage Virus zombies, Dead Snow zombies, and World War Z (cough*travesty*cough*) 'movie' zombies. That would be F***ing lovely.
