PC one of my problems with random gen is getting missions to the same place, I'm getting new ones in Nava

If you haven't played Nava in a while, give it a try. I'm getting missions to places I've never been to before.

I keep telling myself that the next time I start a new map it will be the new Nava map but I keep forgetting and starting a new RWG map lol.

What has that got to do with the OP? Topic was Navezgane.
I don't know what you meant, but what OP wrote says he is not satisfied with the missions traders hand out, but they work better with Navez. So Navez is from my understanding only secondary.

If you haven't played Nava in a while you should. That's all I'm saying.

I should try that nitrogen doohickey

Nitrogen is not without its issues, but man, what a game-changer it is. Below is a demonstration of a difference between an RWG generated map vs. a Nitrogen generated map. So much more control. Want a full wasteland map? There you go. Full winter with as rough terrain as possible with no roads, fine, enjoy, etc.

That is absolutely fine, but I guess that there is no difference in poi's for Nevzagane/Nitro/RWG all missions will be same if all poi's are there on the map... So it would be absolutely same to play Nitro map if it contains all missions poi's and to play Nava it terms os what missions would be available at traders.

The difference is that vanilla RWG maps don't get all the POI's whereas Nitrogen maps do. Finding towers on vanilla rwg is extremely rare. On Nitro it is not, it is common. So yes, mission variety is better on a  Nitro map. That's a fact. Navezgane also has all the POI's whereas vanilla rwg does not so also a fact that mission variety is better on Nave than on vanilla rwg. Another fact.

Nitrogen also has added USER POI's that you can do as missions also. 300+ at last count. My missions are MUCH more varied and fresh with the current compopack46 using Nitrogen.

I wasn't really a fan of Nitrogen when I tried it, so I don't use it.   However, I didn't know this about the POIs.   This is making me consider trying it again.

Thanks for the info.

Why? What was the problem?

Nitrogen offers so many options, pretty sure what ever you didn't like you could have fixed it by adjusting some settings.
Sure the options were great.... the execution, not so much.   Lots of weirdness with POI placement.... saw lots of huge plateaus with POIs on top of them for example.   Standard RWG just felt more natural to me, and thats saying something.

Yes, that was an issue of previous nitrogen versions. Haven't seen it in extremes on nitrgoen with a recent version and playing in A19. However, i saw some of such plateaus in the previously used RWG map (just the RWG "cones" were square instead of round). It happens if a POI is placed in a hilly region, no matter if nitrogen or RWG. I guess both avoid placing POIs there for obvious reasons.

Cool.... I'll definitely have to give a try again.

You can also see the cones on the map preview.

On the nitrogen preview image posted above you can check it. E.g. the blue POI in the south center almost at the border of the map will definetely show such a cone noticeable ingame. The red poi right next to it also.

But if you check the preview image, there are not much occurences of such cones.

@Kalen Even the pregen maps have those plateau POI´s. Seen a bunch of them on RWG. Never seen them on Nitrogen since the last version.
