I went to the original website that still has patch notes and updates posted on it, but I clicked on the Forum button and it took me to a webpage that had pop-ups and unassociated garbage coming up, and I feel like it might be a good way to give people viruses. I would advise that it be ignored and perhaps Fun Pimps either fix it or block it off.

If I come in through https://7daystodie.com/entrygate.html. click on PC and it goes to https://7daystodie.com/?home, if you click on the forums tab it triggers mobappcenter.com.
Using microsoft edge I can reproduce this 100% of the time by dumping all the history and cookies before I start.

Can confirm, but after happening once it didn't happen again. Thought it was a hijacking at first, but that would mean it wouldn't stop at one time. Quite odd.
Loaded in Firefox and got the link (don't click the link plz unless you plan on investigating)

mobappcenter is an expired domain, so it's likely hijacked for malvertisement purposes.
I'd do further digging but I'm a bit busy with exams and projects lol. I looked in the source and nothing really jumped out at me. The certificate seems a bit off with some warnings, and I was warned about "unsafe scripts from foreign sources" being run on the site after inital portal, maybe you guys should look into it. Could be a hijacking.
