Dear fun pimps can you please bring back the old main menu song from the old seven days to die. I think that the old one would be better for not only me but for people who want it back.. I ran out of words to say

Lol, when reading your post I was looking also at your dog's picture and how its eyes look was perfect with the tone of your query. 😁

If you can mitigate the third party DCMA strikes against content creators, I am sure many would enjoy the older music.

Was it third party though? The copyright claims I saw were from the studio that produced the music. I'm speculating, but I'd guess when the music was licensed for use in the game that use on youtube was not included in the agreement, hence the copyright claims.

Wasn´t it the 28 days later theme? Or at least VERY similar from what i remember.

That is a common claim. I was curious about this some years ago so did some digging. A popular youtuber (whom I don't recall anymore) said he got a copyright claim on his videos, and it was from Monophobia Studios, and not John Murphy (In the House - In a Heartbeat). Monophobia Studios is JJ Gomez, who composed the 7dtd theme.

Yes, the theme in 28 Days Later is almost identical. Noticed when I watched the movie last night.

However, I do recall finding themes and songs that carry the same harmonics. There is another movie 40-something, that I can't remember the name of, that is also very similar. Ayumi Hamasaki has a song that has almost exactly the same style, and another with a very similar beat. I seem to recall finding another song with the tones, but cannot recall which off the top of my head.

I may be conflating two different issues. Regardless, there have been many instances of music creators receiving third party copyright strikes for using their own music. Be it from automated systems that verify against large libraries or bad actors deliberately registering music they don’t own to collect ad revenue. Automated systems often accept these registrations at face value, forcing the actual creator to dispute the finding in a lengthy and unclear process.
