Occasional server lockup and odd behavior when flying in a Gyrocopter

Three times this has happened on three different dedicated servers. I'll be flying in a gyrocopter and all of a sudden everything just freezes up and time and movement seem to just barely be moving. I'll continue flying but at like 1M/sec instead of 20+. Time also slows and I'm seeing lots of yellow text in the console. The first time this happened I just logged out while still in the air, and I returned later and found my character on the ground and my gyro nearby. The second time it happened, I logged off while in the air and that server has been locked in the same time and day that I logged out, it shows 1 active user (likely still me for whatever reason), and when trying to connect to that server it just fails to connect but tries until you exit out.

This latest occurrence, which I've posted a log for, I patiently took my gyro back down to just above ground level and jumped off of it. I fell through the world and was falling at an increasing rate of speed. I reached a z height of around -292,000m or so and logged off. Now that server is doing the same as the previous one. It's locked up showing one active user at the same time and day I logged off, and connecting is never successful. The second server has been locked up for several days now so I have no idea how difficult an issue this is for the server admin, but it isn't fixed yet and could be solved with a simple restart, I don't know. Today's server has been down for a few hours and I will update if that changes. Meanwhile, study the log I linked to for full details. Thanks!

Log was too large for pastebin and justpasteit, had to use a different site. Also, I'm not sure if it matters but the gyro had a supercharger mod which may or may not cause trouble for chunk loading. Also, up until recently I would get errors while flying that would interrupt my autopilot and cause me to fall out of the sky. These errors I believe were red text in the console and had to do with a null exception with a value of "key" or something like that. I'm not sure f b259 fixed that but maybe this is related to that fix, just thought I'd mention that the timing was coincidental of the old error stopping and this new weird bug appearing.

Reproduction Steps
Fly a gyrocopter around for a while, maybe use the shift key to autopilot like I use sometimes. Suddenly the dedicated server will act like someone poured molasses all over it, and the server will be locked up and you won't be able to log back into it.

Did you perhaps try to teleport with your gyrocopter? It looks like you may be running some mods as well. Wasn't able to reproduce this if you have any more info.

No teleporting, it's not my server. And I'm personally not running any mods. I have one mod installed for single player offline games that prevents zombies from crouching into 1 block high gaps, but it gets automatically disabled when playing online because EAC doesn't like it. The servers that I've seen this happen all had EAC active, so no weird mods that I'm aware of.

this is most likely related to the server being unable to load chunks fast enough to keep up with the speed of the Gyrocopter. You'd be flabbergasted at the potatoes people try to run servers on.

Find real servers with real owners who understand that the server performance is deirectly related to the server hw, not random self hosted servers, and you will not have this problem.

Of course that is difficult given the absolutely horrendous server broswer built in to the game, but once you find a good one, write down the ip and connect manually thereafter..

These are "Real" servers with experienced admins that know what they're doing.

Okay I'll try to do a bit more testing but let me know if you find any other reproduction steps I asked if you were teleported because it was the only thing i could do to get my gyrocopter underground but it reestablished its positioning. Let me know if theres any other information you can provide.

FWIW, my gyrocopter never went underground, or if it did I did not see it. As I wrote in the OP, I jumped off the gyro just above ground level and my character had fallen 292,000m underground when I logged off. The main issue isn't the falling through the ground though, the main issue is that the server completely locks up and noone is able to rejoin it. It shows the same date and time and same amount of active players as it did days ago when it locked up. I'm assuming when an admin finally shows up they can probably fix this with a reboot, as that's what I think happened fairly quickly after the first time this happened to me. But the last two servers are still locked up after a week for one, and 2-3 days for the next.

Try flying a gyro with a super charger, maybe especially over the chunks/POI's that they are identifying as problematic over in this thread. Or just flying in a straight line grid pattern like you're trying to reveal the whole map.

I see this was moved to "Needs More Info" now. Did the logs not clarify what happened? Did anyone spend any time flying a supercharged gyro over the same RWG world with the same sandbox options?
