PC Number of forges SP

I'm playing single player on A15. Usually I have two forges, one for stone and one for iron. I only use them for the other materials occasionally.

I dig under my base, when going to other biomes for different ores i would come back with raw iron to fill the forge for a couple of days. I try to keep it stable around my base, so i wouldn't go for the vein only, but would dig out all the stuff.

I don't use no auger, it's too expensive. But I maximize the quality of my axe quickly.

In some videos I have seen people having dozens of forges, filled and running. Some are multiplayers, but not all of them.

I was wondering how many forges you would use in a single player game.

this is the console section.

I only use one but build it ASAP (first day, before even a base) and start filling it right away with everything. later in the game I build many more but only use those to attract screamers.

My basic setup is...

One for iron/steel - so I only have iron and clay in it.

One for cement - two stacks of stone

One for bullet - brass, lead and clay

For SP in a basic base, you won’t need much more than that.

If I am planning a big project (like when I built my castle) I had about 10 more forges making cement. And then another 5 more concrete mixers.

Whenever I find the POI that has the forge in it, I will take the forge with me.

I'm on ps4, a15 perhaps has been misleading. Of course I start with one quick forge as well, but keeping stone and iron separate as the main building materials makes things somewhat faster. I meet enough zombies outside - i hate those bears right after the beginning - so i prefer a more quiet home area.

i usually maintain 5 forges at every base. i don't seperate resources, tho. i try to keep 30k of each resource in all forges. whenever i produce a material, i put in whatever resources. 4 of the forges are set up at bedrock to detour screamers and one at ground level to attract them.

my last game i had 2, one for stone and one for everything else. But, after reading the comments, it might not be a bad idea to have a third for bullets (bronze, lead)

I don’t understand the need for the forge farms (unless you have a massive project).

In my SP games, here are my forge needs for 95% of the game:

Forged iron

Forged steel

Cement

Bullet tips

Bullet casings

I am also the player that will only keep the supplies I need. I don’t have multiple stacks of steel, for example, because I just don’t need multiple stacks. Keep you horde base small and efficient and you don’t need a lot.

I have 1 at every town I come across, with iron and clay in them.

At my base I will have anywhere between 10 and 20. I make alot of concrete and bricks and alot of steel for upgrading concrete. I do this cause I always plan on rebuilding a destroyed town, but usually I get bored of the game and start a new one.

I don't have any for making bullets. There's no need to make them any more.if you loot kill Zed's and do treasure maps you'll have more then enough.

Beginning of the game I sell all bullets but the sniper ammo
