No Texture Streaming

So was I, until I figured out how to disable Unity's Texture Streaming altogether, which is the cause.​

Install this mod and forget about it.​

EAC must be off.​

Made for V1.4, but most likely works in other versions of the game too.​

This works great!  I had avoided using some environmental mods because they always made the vanilla textures blurry, but with this mod, that doesn't happen anymore.  This is great for anyone who has trouble with blurry textures even when using mods that add a lot of additional assets.

Wow!  I'm wondering if this mod will prevent the blurry textures caused by the Oblivion Core Decor packs...?

Vanilla textures look absolutely horrible with those packs installed.

No reason it shouldn't, as long as those were caused by texture streaming, which was most likely the case.

Based on my test, I think so.  I tested with Dashu's tree mod that caused blurry textures and the vehicle madness mod, which also sometimes caused blurry textures both installed at the same time and had no blurry textures at all.  And I went all around the map looking for problems.

Just to follow up, YES, it fixes the problem with Oblivion Core Decor packs. I reinstalled all 4 packs (nearly 2 gigs of assets) and had no issues with blurry vanilla textures.

Thanks for testing, guys.

In case you are wondering why you could only see blurriness in vanilla textures before using this mod: modders rarely (or never) add textures with mipmaps. If they did, you would see textures added by mods getting blurry too sometimes.
