No game sound

Does anyone else have or have had an issue with with their in game volume not working at all? The volume works just fine in the main menu but once the game starts, I get nothing. I literally just bought this desktop last night from Micro Center and the speakers are not the issue as they are also new as well. Any help would definitely be greatly appreciated. I bought a pc just to play A17....

My guess would be something with the audio drivers. More information is needed though. Haven't run into this issue at all.

 
Missing sounds

Just started b221 tonight, and no sound effects in the game. At the starting menu I get the music, but no sound when I mouse over buttons. Reset audio to default. If I click to change the volume manually, I get the normal sound. Loaded up 16.4 and it works fine. I did verify integrity of game files and verified audio drivers were updated.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
