I like the new car that is going to be implemented in alpha 18, but for the videos I've seen of alpha 18,

I do not see the old car anywhere.

that is, instead of adding a new car and having more variety on the road, what they do is replace the old one with the new one and keep seeing the same car again and again

You're correct. This new model wasn't made to add more variety, it just replaces the old one.
