New settings update should have a setting to toggle PvP Enabled/Disabled for specific biomes.

For YEARS I’ve wanted a system where the server can primarily be PvE but a specific biome (wasteland) has PvP enabled. Similar to a Darkzone from The Division.

Sounds interesting, but how would you enable it, and have it still be controllable fairplay, in this environment?
The reason I ask is because of the differences.

7 days to die.................................................................................Division-Dark Zone

Completely open world..........................................................Encapsulated by walls "controlled environment"

Completely destructible including...................................Static world
the Ground IE tunnels etc.

Completely accessible POIs.................................................Traditional static POI framework

Randomized Map ..................................................................... Singular Static map

How would you, overcome these differences, in order to make it function?

The only areas that possibly share these parameters are inside of pois,

One main problem is "Open air and Projectiles", how would you control that aspect?

Another problem would be vertical vehicles, meaning air craft. a basic flyover while
others are engaged in an open environment, the term Sitting or Flying Duck comes
to mind.

As an alternate, you can go CM, Build a larger basically hollow POI, use invulnerable walls,
Dome it, and put some block obstacles inside. But unless you get creative with the
connection of sections. You will basically have a limited size approx 100 X 100 kill box. More
akin to the old quake arena. First come first served.

If you provide a bit more detail in how it can be made viable, they may entertain the
idea.

Back around A14-A16 this was pretty common. Some servers would have PVP North, PVE South. Some would have a huge central city where it was PVP in a 1km radius from 0,0. I wouldn't be surprised if there are still PVP servers out there that have mods to allow this, I just haven't searched for nor seen any lately.

Run a PvP server here, so — changing an area from pve to pvp is already doable with a mod/command; making a kill-enabled zone on a no-kill server is possible. That's not the blocker.

The blocker is the drop setting for that zone. If the whole point is you risk your loot in the PvP biome — die there, drop everything; die elsewhere, keep it — that's broken in 3.0.
TFP moved drop-on-death into sandbox and it's continuously enforced: the sandbox pushes one global drop value to clients and overwrites whatever a mod sets.
Now its One drop setting for the whole server now, no way to make the PvP biome drop differently than what the world setting is set at.

So the kill-zone side works today;
it's the per-zone/per-biome drop control that got broke in 3.0.
You can no longer use sgs dropondeath command even though it still exists.
That's the piece to ask TFP to fix — and since drop-on-death already lives in sandbox now, letting it vary per-biome is extending what they built, not starting fresh.
