New resources + 10 item slots for recipes

Can suggest to add more resource types: door hinges (brass,iron, steel), iron plates, steel plates, bolts, screws, rope, processed wood , varnished wood and much more

Also copper for electronics!

And can suggest to increase recipe component slots from 5 to 10!

If someone has more ideas about resources - write in reply :))

I would love more stuff 

Copper to make brass and electrical items 

Chemicals for crafting 

More metal grades 

Iron ore, Scrap metal, leather and hide, fur, cotton, etc

 
Considering they removed a variety of components from the game in recent updates to reduce unnecessary clutter, I wouldn't expect to see them add a bunch of random stuff like that to vanilla.  You'd need a mod for all that stuff.  The good thing is that such a mod is easy to make and is a server-only mod... at least for the additional components.  I'm not sure about extra recipe component slots... that might require a harmony mod.  I haven't ever tried doing more things in a recipe.

 
As long as the inventory is slot capped and not weight capped I would not like to have more different resources.
Weight capped would be horrible... imagine having to unload your ore or wood or whatever every 10 or so pieces, or not being able to pick up a vehicle that is stuck because it's obviously too heavy.  Lol!  But yes, more items without more inventory would really be bad.  I use Vehicle Madness to get a lot more variety in vehicles (looks great!) and it adds a lot more things to collect, so I've had to use a backpack mod in order to have space with all the extra things.  You definitely don't want a lot of extra stuff with a limited backpack space.

 
If you're implying what I think you're implying (having recipes require things like hinges and screws for doors/chests, etc.), only if they add some form of automation to craft things.  All that micro-crafting would be insanely, unnecessarily tedious.

Not really.  Mechanical parts and electrical parts work fine for that. 

But ore can be refinded down too more. Making mining a bit more worthwhile

I mean some make sense like

leather vs hide

Electric components vs Scrap wire

Brass and lead items 

But a few didn't make sense

Ore. You got much more out of mining

The OP was talking about adding screw, hinges, plates, etc.  I've seen that before (in an old version of Undead Legacy) and it was incredibly tedious.  It was like 4 crafts to make a chest (plates -> screws -> hinges -> chest).

I don't mind something like that if it can be automated, but having to do that by hand every single time gets old, fast.
