PC New Metal Suggestions

I have always thought it was kind of short sighted you get to make a forge and smelt iron, lead and bronze, but there is no way to make bronze. So simple suggestion to solve this

2 new metal types

1. Copper (semi rare veins) would be used in making electrical parts and obtained from mining or breaking down things like refrigerators and air conditioners (copper coils)

2. Tin (common veins) would be used in making tin cans and obtained from mining or breaking down tin cans (tin can would replace empty can you get from eating canned food/find as loot)

The two metals would be smelted (with the proper skill) at a forge with crucible to create bronze. This would add more realism to the game as well as open up a whole range of new crafting opportunities for different alloys if TFP wanted to go that route.

Hey! Its a good idea. Its been pitched to the devs numerous times over the years and they've shot it down. They don't want any more ores and they don't want to add complexity to brass by giving it components that must be obtained and then crafted to get...brass. They just want you to skip all that and just obtain brass itself. Its a generalization and abstraction they are happy with and despite multiple suggestions exactly like yours they have resisted such a feature in the game.

I do believe there are mods that allow you to craft brass from copper and tin and have added those ores to mining as well as by breaking down different objects.
