I have always thought it was kind of short sighted you get to make a forge and smelt iron, lead and bronze, but there is no way to make bronze. So simple suggestion to solve this
2 new metal types
1. Copper (semi rare veins) would be used in making electrical parts and obtained from mining or breaking down things like refrigerators and air conditioners (copper coils)
2. Tin (common veins) would be used in making tin cans and obtained from mining or breaking down tin cans (tin can would replace empty can you get from eating canned food/find as loot)
The two metals would be smelted (with the proper skill) at a forge with crucible to create bronze. This would add more realism to the game as well as open up a whole range of new crafting opportunities for different alloys if TFP wanted to go that route.
