PC New Gen console mapseeds

Playing Crackpot20 right now, two towns ( 2 Rekt traders ) pretty close to each other, Jen/burn zone not to far but not many POIs near here, a big city a decent distance away

 
I did a map seed on the 6k map and named it WorkingStiff and so far, its been a very productive map, after spawning and doing my first challenge set and turning it into the trader, my first zombie out the gate dropped a loot bag, it had a lvl 1 9mm pistol in it with ammo, and within a few hours after that, i had already maxed out my cooking and armor crafting with the magazines. Having a tough time finding the forged magazines though. With in a short time after that had my forge built and my workbench built.

@Bulldog44 whats the coords for the two towns, going to give that map a whirl.

 
I have yet to get a bad one. You know the kind old game had. No towns, no traders or the worst water worlds. I mean it's supposed to be AZ we don't have a hub city surrounded by oceans but i sure got a lot of those in the last version. 

 
Ive been fiddling with the crackpot20 map on a 6k map and found 3 rekts and jen all within 1 km of each other.

 
All good @Bulldog44 I built me a multipurpose base right in the middle of the 3 towns. My wife seen my map and asked if that was a new game, told her I was just messing around with it, now she's in game with me in looters heaven 🤣

 
You can always start a map on creative build a gyro and look around. I did that with a few randoms trying to find a odd map that maybe has a island or one with big patches of different bioms, like a waistband with a Grover high for horde base but across the street forest i can live in

 
On the legacy version, I would start a new map in creative mode, scope out all the good POI's, jot down where everything was at, plus figure out where the best place was to build a base, log out, delete the save and start over in normal mode. I noticed yesterday when I was trying out the advanced map generation thing, to me it feels like the random gen isn't too much random gen since the game always starts out in the pine forest and the other biomes are all on the outside of the forest. I think the legacy had a better random gen. Maybe it's because of the trader progression, I don't know.

 
In some ways it was true random with roads leading to oceans and giant mountains, towns split down the middle or with radiation killing half the town. Flip side some seeds with only hub city and rest was crossroads and open spaces, traders off dirt roads that would never be found unless you skipped going to traders until you mapped out the world so you could mark them. More variety would be great but I generally prefer this version of random over last one.

 
Oh yeah definitely, same here, I prefer this one over the legacy any day of the week but just saying that the random gen to me just felt more like random gen in most aspects.

 
I've been trying out map seeds named after stores in game. I named a map called Savage Country, so far, the wasteland, burnt forest and desert biomes have a large hub city in them, haven't investigated the snow biome yet, but it has an insane amount of loot to be had in that map.
