PC New game: I always spawn at same location

Whenever I start a new game, I always spawn at the same location on the map. It happens on every map I've tried: Navezgane, one of the pregens, and several Nitrogen-generated maps.

I duplicated it without any modlets, but I do have CompoPack 43 installed. Any idea what could be causing this?

Try changing the game name. I've found that in A18 the RNG of spawn location seems to be tied to the game name.

I always name the game after the map, so that was it.

This game/save name determines where you spawn in a map. Never used to be like that but it is now in a18.
