New forums

So, can we do sigs on here now? If so, I better get to work on trying to remember how to make a sig since it's been so long since I have made one lol

Yes. In preferences. It is limited to one line and a low number of characters.

I haven't seen anything that let's you put a platform next to your name. I just put it in my signature. The only platform stuff I saw was when starting a new thread by using a prefix. That is for the thread and not specifically the user.

Ahh nice. I know when i browse as guest or with my test account I could not see them. While the forum was hidden from public view it went through several changes of visibility, and the last one I knew was that I was seeing them because of elevated permissions.

And yeah, I don't even remember when I set that signature. It's probably come across both forum migrations.
 
Yeah, signatures are available if you use them. I think they just disable them by default for people who don't want to see them or when not logged in.

This is one of the drawbacks of the migration is we utilized the Page Database for IPS which doesn't migrate to xenforo. I will need to create a plugin / addon to do the conversion which will take some time create, but new issues can be created in the root Bug Reports section and those reports will get transferred by QA as they are addressed.

thats understandable but concerning
there are multiple major bugs reported 1.0+ that alot of people been waiting for them to be resolved...... so sounds like those reports are not lost?
just trying to figure out if the bugs reported need to be re reported again?

They are not lost. The old site is still accessible by TFP staff, and they had internal tickets on a completely different system besides. Not sure why you would assume they are lost.

Biggest issue really is trying to find out if a bug you have run into has been reported or not. And for that, you can just check out the KI List that has always been available. Or just report it again, and TFP will mark it down as a duplicate and add any new information into the internal ticket system.
 
We’ve discovered a few threads went missing due to errors in the migration process. If anyone has noticed important threads or other content from the old forum missing here, please let us know right away. By the end of the week, we’re looking to make all links to https://community.7daystodie.com/ redirect to this new site, meaning the old site will no longer be available.
 
Is it possible that there could be a button added at bottom of page to bring you directly to top of page? I tend to hit the New Posts button a lot and sometimes it is a pain to constantly have to scroll from bottom of a read page to the top again each time I read a new page. I know it is not that important but would just be like a QoL mod for the game. Not absolutely needed but just is a nice touch.

EDIT: Will leave this as a specific button for it would be nice but have just discovered the Home link after I wrote this. It works for what I want but sometimes the button might be better.
