PC NeferPitou Copies and Pastes Negative Steam Reviews

This is a game with amazing potential being held back by questionable development choices. I can’t recommend anyone buy it in its current state.

If you look at the reviews you will see most negative reviewers played this game for hundreds of hours. How could someone play this game for so long if they hate it? Well the answer is that at first it is actually quite fun, a voxel (Minecraft style) open world zombie survival game? What a great idea!

Sadly, a great idea doesn’t equal a great product. The game seems to be permanently in an alpha early access state. The game is riddled with terrible AI, horrible game breaking bugs, and horrible multiplayer desync making PVP and PVE gameplay nearly impossible for anyone but the host. The developers seem to be on a yearly or longer patch cycle and have terrible communication with their customers. They contradict themselves constantly and can come across as very arrogant and condescending.

Early access or being a new developer is no excuse for leaving their game in such a poor state. There are tons of great developers out there that do early access right. I would strongly recommend buying this game only if it was deeply discounted and only with the intention of playing a bit till you get frustrated and quit. As it stands the bugs and issues will eventually frustrate you and turn you away

The forums are littered with unprofessional responses to what they think of as critisism.

Now that's the guy I remember! Being nice for a while didn't fit... Glad to have you back!
They never promised any dates... Proof or it's all in your mind.
A17 hopefully will be out in mid....... july after 3 months nothing still

Wow, a pissing contest!

The game is recently getting bad reviews on Steam only because certain people, like yourself maybe, gave it a bad review ONLY because A17 is taking longer than they expected.

Negative messages will not help anyone, and it will not make A17 come out any sooner; I only see a bad reputation on yourself.

It has been explained why TFP first thought it might be out in July and why it didn't happen and why it's probably still not ready.

You've been here enough times to know about some of the reasons... Bugs! Many bugs still left to fix; some features not fully implemented.

The art department has time to work on stuff like new beer coolers and such, because the people fixing bugs are not done yet. Different people have different skills.

If 7 days to Die is as bad as what you wrote, then why are you always here checking for when A17 is coming out?

I have seen many forum posts that in my opinion needed to be moderated because they were not constructive and were only offensive, yet they were left as is. Roland's moderation is pretty damn mild, and I say this being a Steam moderator for another game myself, as well as managing a large Discord community. There are many who seem to think he is arrogant, or that the devs are, but I think if they sometimes give snarky responses it's simply because the users themselves are less than appropriate. In any case, they never insult anyone, which can't be said of all users here.

As for the bad product... I can't think of any "game breaking bugs" in a16 at the moment, but then it depends on your definition of "game breaking". The game can be played just fine, it doesn't break. Sure, there are issues, but then again it's an alpha, an early access game, and a lot of those issues have already confirmed to be fixed in a17.

And regarding the desyncs you mention, I personally have never had issues with the multiplayer stability. I play PvE with friends all the time. I haven't played large PvP servers, but online PvE works perfectly fine for me.

Oi vey, this is getting old. We (my ACTUAL friends) stopped playing a couple of months ago as we thought it was a waste of time to build when the new "alpha" version was going to be released. To the Fun Pimps.... please don't tell us ch1t until you are ready to release. That way it would save many of us that nervous cross over period. I do have to say that the game is worth WAY more than I paid.
You do realize, we are not telling you anything. As in we are not emailing, texting, calling or walking up to you and talking to you. We make posts in our forums, which you then come here and read.

The patient says, "Doctor, it hurts when I do this." "Then don't do that!"

Mini bikes disapearing or falling in the world.... zombies running in circles ..... people with great systems running this game poorly if this is not a game breaking for you then i don t know what to say

16 gigs of ram. After a hour the game is using 14, then crash. For a game that's been in early access for almost 5 years ago we will see with this texture streaming that joel said in one of his videos ...

But those are not game breaking bugs. A game breaking bug is something that prevents you from playing and breaks the game.

A zombie running in circles is nowhere near game breaking and neither is a disappearing minibike. I have 2 mid tier systems (used to be top of the line) and never experienced a technical issue with the game running poorly.

If you are experiencing performance issues, it sounds like a poorly optimized system and someone who needs to do some maintenance. Either that or they are using crap hardware.

You really streeeeeetching the term game breaking with those examples.

As someone pointed out, those bugs are not game breaking (not to mention that they've been confirmed to be fixed in a17). They're what's to be expected of playing an alpha game, something you signed up for when you paid for it.

As for the the game crash, it sounds like you should be doing a detailed bug report instead of bashing the game, so the devs can do their job. The game obviously doesn't perform as well as it could, because it still hasn't been thoroughly polished, but I can't remember the last time I had a crash playing it.

minibike is out since a13 guess what it s still broken after many many years

I have loved this game for years, and seen the development that has been. Dev promised new vehicles, better optimization and better graphics plus some other few but nice changes.

When Joel aka MadMole released his youtube video of a cringy gameplay and "presented" the new features, it appeared that they removed looting from zombie corpses (that is a fundamental part of the game) to replace with it with random satchel drops with some loot. No more looting corpses for bones, animal fat and leather. They also broke melee combat by removing backpadeling, so you would HAVE to get a hit from the zombie in order to land a hit. Just because. That is an extremely poor game design and makes no sense since most zombies can kill you in 3-4 hits if you have light armor clothing. Graphic changes are mediocre at best, and does not justify the wait for 1 year. There are still better games out there that has outrunned 7DTD, this game still looks like it is stuck in 2002. The devs are indifferent to the voices of the community

Dude, we all know you want to play A17 just like everyone else and are just upset about the wait. You are fooling nobody. If you hate the game, then don't play, don't waste time on the forums, and play something you enjoy. Go join a forum of a game you actually like. You would feel much better if you did that.

If you were done with this game you wouldn't be here, its that simple.

For example, I don't like world of Warcraft anymore... I no longer follow news on the game, I don't post on the forum. See how easy it can be?

then i recommend you go play does game instead of 7dtd .

Why are you still on the forums crying about things that will be fixed in the next iteration?

Two phenomena I don't get, but should possibly be catalogued in the DSM-5.

1) stopping the playing of a game you enjoy because of an impending patch.

2) changing your mind about the quality and fun of a game you've previously enjoyed because of an impending patch.

...maybe they're both part of the same psychological ailment, I don't know...
