PC Need more bones and fat pimps.

The giant green pigs where a bug. I wouldn't count on them for bones anymore.
The giant green pig is a bug in A17? Then why did they name it Grace, and even created official POIs dedicated to it? There's a POI that has a cage with a sign that reads "Grace's Lair" or something like that, with the giant green pig in a cave below the POI? There's also another POI that has two of them.

There prevalence in earlier builds was a bug. The block id was switched for vultures and grace in between builds and so players were getting grace spawns instead of vulture spawns.

Agreed on a need for more bones or a change in the recipe. In my b199 game, the bugged Grace spawns provided an abundance of leather, bones, meat, and fat to the point that we were never short on any of those products. In my b208 game, it has been much tighter. We've been able to make armor and vehicles but there is nothing to spare for specialized ammo.

Or change the recipe for glue. For example 1 bone + 10 murky water = 10 glue in the chemistry station and 2 bones + 10 murky water = 10 glue in the campfire
As no one cares about bones for their own sake, I think that increasing the amount of glue per bone solves this nicely without adding the tedium of harvesting the dozens of zombies. I think 10 per bone is probably too many, but getting 3 to 5 would be a good place to start.

Meh. I'm past level 100 and still have unused tape and glue, and haven't yet had any need to make any. Looting has given me all I've needed so far... but then again... I don't use guns, so barely any need for repair kits.

Adding bones (or glue) to vending machine just so the stupid machines can see use when you're killing piles and piles of zombies who obviously have bones is absurd. I'm perfectly happy to have the zombie corpses gone, but IMO it's a little ridiculous that bones are part of the game but can't be harvested directly from a dead zombie in the same way as from a dead animal.

I do like the idea of more glue per bone as well.

Or I could not mod my game and still be able to participate in bug reports. You know like everyone is supposed to be doing.
Well, noble citizen, if this really is a bug report (and not something else, such as having a bone to pick) please submit it under the "PC Bug Reports" forum. That's where we submit bug reports...for 7D2D...on the PC. There's a format to use when submitting the report; you should probably try to use that as much as possible lest you be called a bone head.

It's possible that I'm mistaken, and that you're "special" in some way, and don't need to post your bug reports in the correct place like everyone else is doing. If you're entitled to such special treatment, then you have my humblest apologies.

At your service...

The zombies bodies are there for a long enough time that I should be able to harvest them if I want. It wont be a windfall every horde night because they disappear too quickly for that. But there is no reason I shouldn't be able to harvest singular ones I pick off while I am out and about.
I'm thinking the same. While they're there, why not make them harvestable?

Seriously, I think some of you ate paint chips as a kid. Way to misinterpret the entire meaning of that post. No one is saying that the lack of bones is a bug. I was saying that if I make changes to the game, then it is no longer the product that I am supposed to be testing. When you make a bug report, which I have done several times, there is a form that you follow. One of the spaces in that form is to acknowledge if you are playing a modded game. If you are, then something you have changed may be the cause for your bug and the report is less reliable. You would know that if you ever filed a bug report. Thanks for implying that I am the one who is "special" though.

My only input is that a comma can make ALL the difference.
To clarify, I would like more animal fat drops in the game. However, I will settle for fat pimp drops also. :chuncky:

EDIT: In B4 "Fat Pimp Drops" is a thing....

Why do you need fat pimps?

I was wondering the same thing and then thought the same thing.

To the OP though, just give them to your self in creative for now. It's an unbalanced, experimental version of an early access alpha. It's going to be a bit until things are worked out. Workarounds may just have to, well, work around it for now.

EDIT:Sorry, didn't read you were already doing that.

I have to agree here. When going out at night to harvest roadkill is a priority, they're pretty damn rare.

Just a thought, maybe flaming arrows and explosive ones weren't meant to be spammed?

Resources come and go. If a certain resource is scarce but you insist on being able to use it freely, it's the same way people get flat out bankrupt by their credit card irl isn't it?

How much TFP intends for the supply to be 'enough' is up in the air, that's why you're providing 'feedback', I'll leave it at that.

The only other point you raise is, there is perk for it, therefore it must be spammable. Feels weak.

As far as the argumentation goes, I'm not persuaded since you provided your feedback in an argumentative manner. Personally, for my crafting needs, plus regular shopping trips to the traders, it's covered. Not to the extent of excess but enough. Of course I don't 'spam' explosive bolts nor flaming arrows. The supply is too scarce for that, thus I make better choices.

I keep a small stock of them for horde night when they're bunched. And it's enough.

Maybe you play from the perspective that everything should be in easy supply in proportion to the effort put in to looking for them. Personally, I prefer the fact that some things will be in short supply no matter how hard you work for them.

They are ammo FFS. They are definitely intended to be spammed. Here is a thought, maybe TFP will just make every loot box empty. I mean, why would having anything at all be fun? Sounds like a winning strategy.

Not every request needs to be met with the "You just want to game to be easy" response. It's a legitimate request to be able to make ammo that I specifically spent a perk point to be able to make. I also need to be able to repair my equipment and build things to continue to advance in the game.

Furthermore, your counter arguement is that my reasoning is weak? What if we were talking about any other perk.

Seems like a weak argument to spend a perk point on strength to make you do more mele damage to then expect to get more mele damage. Said nobody ever!

Yea guy, I totally agree that we should not get the perks we selected. Just makes the game too easy because I am a difficulty snob. Never mind that someone may decide to play without armor because they dont like the penalties and might need more potent ammo. I don't, so nobody should darnit. RabbleRabbleRabble.....

I did not say you had the expectation that the game should be easy.

I made it clear that my assumption of your perspective was, everything should be in easy supply in proportion to the effort put in to looking for them. Just because of the word 'easy', you skipped out on the conditional effort. And as per your statement, "They are ammo FFS. They are definitely intended to be spammed." I'm not wrong with that assumption.

I don't regard that sentiment as right or wrong. Now you're just knee-jerking in the defensive.

I am not knee jerking anything. Not my fault that you didn't think it through before you decided that I was wrong about there being a bone shortage. Or the complete absurdity that is your notion that perks are not actually meant to be used.

No question that all the bones from z corpses in A16 led to exploiting the Traitors.

Though not having to clean up all the gore blocks is a welcome change to me.

It does seem that recipes are/were set up w A16 lvls of Duct Tape in mind though.

The recipe to craft a bipod mod requires 5 glue? While a Scrap Chest armor piece only uses 2 duct tape.

Add in, in my case at least, that I haven't seen a single Beaker, let alone the two needed for a Chemistry Station.

(no, none found working in my area)

So lots of balancing yet to do, and fully reasonable that Recipes get balanced after general Bone abundance/scarcity.

Edit: added in the Vault Door. :) 300+ pound door vs. a 1 1/2 pound Bipod :D
