Need help. Can't connect.

I'm trying to play on 20.4 with a friend. They connect with no issue. Their server appears briefly on on the friends server tab before disappearing. I've tried to connect to the server via steam friends only for it to freeze immediately on the loading configs... I've tried reinstalling, verifying integrity, deleting my mods folder, and a %appdata% folder. Nothing is working.

Main server list gives me tons of chinese servers with N/A ping despite being in NA East.

We would need more info, specifically we need to see a copy of your log. Logs are listed by date/time. Open the log for the day/time that your game hangs while attempting to join. Copy the entire log, go to pastebin.com and paste the log. That will generate a link and post that link here and someone will look at it to attempt to help you.
