Native Linux server (with management scripts)

Logs from when that happened? If you don't like it why are you still here? Such comments aren't really helping anyone and are plain insulting for the team (incl myself). Give constructive criticism instead and it might help getting things improved...
The game doesn't do logging in any constructive sense. Argue all you wan't but logs are the de facto fundamental base of any serious development. Using log messages as blind breakpoints hardly counts as constructive. This has been reported with every single major version and there's no change. The bulk of TFP's bugs are due to missing insight, graphics don't exactly count even if TFP puts their major effort on the only piece that could be developed last and independently.

Unless you intend to refund my game then I might as well make sure you at least knew the right direction.

Please, such comments are all that is left when TFP ignores community feedback, just do the same for comments like this. It has actually become something people asking questions should be aware about, but then again that's something else TFP tends to do, silence the outrage by banning things you don't like.

Yeah I ended up taking my server offline for now because it keeps on freezing every 1-2 days or so. Not sure if this will ever get fixed, was hoping to see 64 bit version as well.

Would it be possible to update the map so the left hand pane can be collapsed (an option to have it collapsed by default/remember a choice would be awesome too)

just as a heads up, the mapping "sign in through steam" doesnt seem to work when the map is ran in a frame,
I suppose this might be some kind of "security" feature of browsers or Steam's own code. I can't see a reason why it shouldn't work from the code used in the map.

Yeah, good idea, will add it to my list.

Btw, would have responded way earlier if you had used the thread for the mod instead of the Linux scripts thread ;P

Hey Alloc,

My dedicated server is finally up and running but I have a problem:

It's showing " command not found " for common.sh as seen here

question1.jpg

question2.jpg

Any idea why?

I cannot edit my post, so I'll post an update.

I figured out why. I had to install netcat-openbsd in order for nc to work. :)

I have another question. How do I move the map and player file from another server to my current host? I tried moving:

- Player Folder

- Region Folder

- Main.ttw

- Players.xml

But my server wont start. :/

Normally this should be fine but without logs noone will be able to help you with that ;)

Hi Alloc!

I looked at the output log ( sorry, I'm a total noob at ubuntu in general ) and the issue was permission(s) setting.

Everything is working now. :) hehe.

The referenced script on this Behaviour is missing!

Okay, just checked the windows version:

The referenced script on this Behaviour is missing! is in teh logs too, but the server starts afterwards. Looks like there is another reason why the server isnt starting.

I'm having the same issue. Used to work fine in A10 but A13 is not working (with a fresh install).

Same Problem after updateengine and create instance

Server not starting: Don't forget to update the fixes if you have them installed.

Crash: Haven't experienced this on any of the tested Linux machines so far, hard to debug that way. Looking further.

I haved:

7dtd.sh updatescripts --force [v.94]

7dtd.sh updatefixes --force [6 8 10]

7dtd.sh updateengine --force [896430]

and i tried delete /home/sdtd complete and reinstall per ./bootstrap.sh ...

always the same error in my logfile from instance...

Yes, I have updated all too. Its a VM. Debian Wheezy. 4GB ram. (webtropia) I think Thoron has a different problem. My Game has no output after:

The referenced script on this Behaviour is missing!

(Filename: Line: 1649)

worked for me before Updated to 13.

I have rebooted the server and updated it too.
