My post is red and it says it needs to be checked out before I can edit

I posted some maps I created and a link to download them on onedirive. Basically to be used as a template for other people to edit in teragon.

Why would this need to be examined before it is posted?

As usual I find a typo or 2 only after I post. I will say it here: the maps are the 1.0 game version, not the 1.1 or whatever is out now.  Sorry for the typos that are in the post in the teragon thread, now that I can not edit it for some reason.

This is normal.  Most links will cause your post to need checked.  This is also true if you edit a post that has a link or quote someone who posted a link.  It's not a great option, but it helps to cut down spambots.  The post will get approved once a mod has a chance.

I guess that's cool. I was hoping I was not banned or something. Thank you for letting me know.
