my game no longer works

since the update my game no longer works. my character is stuck under the map and after 3 minutes the game crashes

How do I resolve the issue ?

 
Maybe you can increase your chances by asking in the correct section. I only saw this post by chance and moved it to "General Support"

Showing your logfile (use pastebin and post a link only, howto is in a pinned thread in this section) helps identifying the issue.

Generally you could try to kill yourself (if you have glass or explosives in your inventory) or delete your character in the savegame and start with a new one that isn't stuck below the world.

 
Yes, and the contents of your backpack, but you can get back the levels with F1 -> giveselfxp  and items with F1 -> cm and then using the creative menue.

 
Read pinned threads to find out where your savegame is. Stop the game!

Find out your EOS number by either reading you players.xml file or looking into your logfiles. 

Delete all files with your EOS number in the Player directory and also delete lines in the players.xml that reference your EOS number.
