My FPS drops immensely after some time while looking in the direction of a downtown city biome with a skyscraper.

This happens in multiplayer where I'm the host, but it doesn't require other players to be near. Other players that have been near are unaffected, but get affected by actors in the map lagging because of me.

After I spend sometime near the downtown area of this big desert town in our randomly generated map, my fps starts tanking hard. I normally play with around 70fps on ultra, but it rapidly drops to 30-20, eventually getting to 4 fps. It probably has something to do with loading, because when I sit still and don't move for about a minute, the fps goes back to its normal 70, but the fps drops resume after some time. I really like the new bigger cities but I really don't like the fps drops that (only) I experience. Please let me know if I can provide more information to hopefully get this fixed after experimental goes stable!

(The link to the must read document is broken for me, so I don't know if I'm missing anything critical here)

I am having the exact same problem. Look towards large town and frames get demolished. Thought it was a glitched pond but I think it has to be the town

Well, looks like not only me have this REALLY ANNOYING issue. Everytime when I look at south, my fps drops about 2 times, sometimes drops even to 12-13 fps, when I turn to another side, fps goes back to normal. Occlusion does nothing, even if view completely closed by wall fps still really low.

I have no idea if it will help but how about turning off dynamic mesh in the graphics section and see if that doesn’t bump up your fps when looking at the buildings? I know that there has been work on trying to optimize the areas around the skyscrapers but there’s still issues and the developers are aware of it. We just need to figure out how to tweak things until they fix it.
