My wife as suggested that mowers might be a cool way to harvest bulk plant fiber as well as cotton and flowers. Most tools have a 3 tier system, and implementing the same idea when it applies to mowers. Lowest tier would be those old push mowers that used only human power to cut, then mid tier would be a gas powered push mower, and top tier would be your traditional riding mower.
Another idea is to separate the gas powered from the human power.
Human Power:
Sickle (uses the most stamina)
Scythe (uses a 30% less stamina)
Human powered push mower. (uses 50% less stamina)
Gas Powered:
Traditional push mower (uses gas and stamina)
Self propelled push mower (uses gas and 50% the stamina as a traditional push mower)
Riding tractor (uses more gas, but no stamina)
Thoughts?
