PC Move more than 1 item at a time

I have 250 Plant Fiber, and I want to keep fifty on me and put the rest in a chest.

I tried CTRL, SHIFT, CTRL+SHIFT to drop them 5 at a time in the chest, if I remember properly, some games have a similar mechanic... it didn't work here.

Is there an alternative? Or did I do something wrong?

Thanks folks!

Hope this helps. go to options, under the ui tab, at the top you should see primary and secondary. The primary picks up whole stack, the secondary halves the stack unless uneven number, then it has 1 more and 1 less. halve it to 125 drop, halve it to 63 or 62 then tap the button to drop the thirteen, put the fifty in back pack and load the other bunches into the storage chest.

Clicking and holding the right mouse button lets you take half a stack.

Once you have a stack in hand clicking the right mouse button places one at a time.

So you can take half and then half again and half again and you should be close.

In Minecraft you can spread a stack of items over a number of inventory slots. In your case, you would spread it over 5 slots, getting 5 50 items stacks. But I guess this is too complicated to implement :)

IIRC (Not at home to check) the inventory description above your inventory when it's open describes the steps Roland described (In case you forget again, so you don't need to keep referencing here).

I had the same confusion when I first started playing, too :D

This is definitely something stupid to have to do just to create a stack of a certain number of items you want together, definitely some way of typing how much to take out of a larger stack would be very beneficial.
