PC More problems

I was looking forward to 7dtd for years as I was an avid player of the original with hundreds if not thousands of hours on the xbox version. Brought a new xbox x and game on day of release, I so wanted to love this game but we have so many problems.

1) zombies didn't spawn till around day 15

2) I'm on day 36 I've not had one blood moon horde yet

3) now I can't load in to my save, it's been over 2 hours sat on "building environment"

There have been lots of bugs with the console release, no question. Many players seem to play without problems, but if you are one of the unlucky this knowledge doesn't help much. But it means you probably don't need to wait for patches, it must be an avoidable glitch.

I am certainly no expert on console, but one thing I can say for sure, that save was bugged from the first minute you played it and you should delete it as completely as you can. Also clear the character you created. Then create a new character and game and check if you see zombies on the first day. If not, don't play on, this will only lead to the same result as now.

Furthermore the stable version 1.1 should be coming in the next weeks and it probably has lots of bug fixes and a feature to inspect logfiles. The latter should make bug finding and fixing much easier. It might be worth waiting for 1.1 to start a long run.

Yeah I might wait then, but the problem I have is I'm not wanting to invest time into it. My current save I done so much and not sure if I can be bothered investing more time into a game with the change of it being in vain

7D2D is not finished despite the "1.0" moniker (which is probably only a concession to Sony and MS).  For console this is the public version 0.1. The telltale version doesn't count as that old code was not available and wouldn't have helped much anyway.

If you only want to play without problems you really need to wait longer, a lot longer. I think a TFP dev said there would be at least another stable after 1.1.  And that version should have a lot more bugs fixed. But there will be more versions coming for at least a year and each one will improve the situation.

I hope they eventually have a working backup system available on all platforms, until that happens a power outage or any crash of your PC or console might corrupt the save as the game needs to write data to disk continually. Until that is in you will never be "100% safe".
