PC MODs mental block

So, got me a new lappy toppy for travel that should handle the game in lower settings.

I am having a mental block, when adding mods.  It seems MOD folder is the place in the install directory nowadays.

But wasnt there something a while back about %appdata% ??  Or did that go away?
