I'd like to see a stable server code that could handle thousands of players.
From what I understand, once you get much over 8 players regularly (even on a dedicated server) things start going weird and requires server resets at least once a day. This is not ideal.
Too bad also that there isn't some kind of open-source server code for the modders so they could expand their capabilities even further. I've written a mutli-threaded node js socket.io server that will handle 30,000+ connections per second... I wish I could somehow apply that to running my own server instead of being so limited.
It would be damn interesting to see over 1000 players on 7dtd. Sounds fun to me!
