PC Mining

So what is the deal with mining now? We just dig down anywhere towards bedrock?

I find the most success digging through mountainous regions, horizontal till I read a vein.

The digging to bedrock was more of a thing to find tungsten back in like Alpha 4 or 5, which was before my time, and to avoid zeds as I think that's around the time zed were removed from the ability to rig, but also the 7th day BM horde wasn't a thing until recently actually.
