I typically just make a long and skinny pathway until I hit an ore that I want and clear out a large area until it seems like I got it all out, then rinse and repeat. Maybe it's not the best strategy, but it's how I understand mining to now work.Honestly I can't remember. I always make my mines wide and tall. I think you would need to make it at least 3 high. If you like to feel cramped and not no room to do anything not even turn around then you should be om as far as one wide but again not sure.
My minibike wouldn't fit in a tunnel only big enough for me to fit in width wise... Height wise, 2 blocks was fine... But it had to be at least 2 blocks wide... It's borderline blinding if you have to have the headlight on though... I know a one block wide tunnel won't work with the bike though, and pack up your bike and store it... I left mine in the opening of my tunnel and after the horde night, my bike was up on the grassy ground exactly where I left it below on bedrock
Awesome, thanks guys! Exactly what I needed to know. I really appreciate the input! It is possible to use a minibike but you are risking the console thinking you are stuck and teleporting you above ground to a safe space. It is generally advised to dig a tunnel 3 high and 2 wide to avoid issues.
