really? i know many people who bought legacy version including myself who also bought "modern" not sure how you could even discredit their purchase. Alot of those players wouldn't be here today had they not started out on legacy. A purchase is a purchase to say we are not accounting for a legacy purchase to the numbers doesn't sound correct.

No, it reads exactly like that. I'm not really asking, just trying to make him think.

Saying "The Meta is Deep - And Growing" implies that there is already a large base for the "PvP Meta", and that it is increasing.

"The depth of a meta" has nothing to do with player count, past the obvious two people to play against one another. "Growing" is perhaps an odd choice there, but the rest of the para described how the Meta is evolving, not player counts.

I agree that's Granny's numbers are not even wrong; but they got nothing to do with someone else's talk about the meta.

Considering I can almost never find a server near me with more than a couple people playing at a time, that 8% have to be mostly local/private servers that are doing PVP. I like the idea of PVP, but this game isn't designed for large scale PVP play. The server pop caps are so small for an 8k map. You would hardly ever run into people.

A much better PVP type setup would be smaller maps with large cities. To motivate more player vs. player encounters.

Think about this for just a moment. You are taking about the number of PVP players, right? A person who bought the old version and bought it again with the new version is still one person. Not only that, but the old version can't play against our with the new version, so it is irrelevant to the current PVP numbers

Mathematically, consider If it is a constant then Julius Caesar
and Alexander the Great, should be equal or at least closer than
they are.

Alexander the Great would be closer to an evaluation of "IS" playing
Player Vs Player "Now". That is because it would be a constant engagement
in the playstyle.

What it shows is a constant decline in desire to follow through with that
particular goal.

Last it means that 5 percent of the total number must be deducted from your
included numerics. If you wish to try inclusion of the additional 5 percent
then what you would be saying is that their kill percentages suck buckets. Why,
because If you play for years and as many hours as you constantly post The kill
percentage at Alexander the Great should be way higher. That shows consistency,
vs a passing fancy, an accident, achievement coveting . The other part of that is
if you play for years , or the massive hours you post, and only killed 25 players, well
that is self explanatory.

2.0 isn't getting a PvP update. It's getting bug fixes that help both gameplay styles. Nothing is being done specifically for PvP.

No, it really doesn't. So you honestly believe that even a million people play this game right now? The Steam numbers are very clear that it isn't even close. Even adding in other PC platforms that are likely to have lower numbers considering Steam may be the most popular game platform on PC right now, and adding in console users, you won't come close to a million playing the game right now. Not with any consistency, anyhow. And that would be total players. That isn't the number of PVP players.

Look at it this way, based on the numbers of active players each day on Steam since that is easy to check, if every one of those players only played one day a month, you would barely go over a million total players. And I'm certain most who play the game do so more than once per month.

You can't take total sales over 10 years and act like all of those are still playing the game.

You aren't seriously using Google's AI to get that, are you? Lol! No wonder your data is so wrong. That is a baseless guess just because many people play games in China. You can get that same response for games that obviously aren't getting high numbers of players. Besides, that doesn't say anything other than "many", which could any 100, though I would obviously expect more than that.

I decided to look into it a little. Tracking data on PSN listing the top 100 played games each month doesn't include 7 Days to Die in the top 100 for at least the last few months. I didn't go back further. So certainly not millions on Playstation. And on XBox, it's showing at 199th most played game. It seems pretty clear that it's not anywhere near as popular as you think on console. Considering there aren't even a quarter of a million PC players at any given time, the chances of there being more than 4x that number of console players is extremely unlikely, especially "in China alone". But neither PS or XBox give great game data like we can get from Steam, so this data is admittedly of questionable authenticity.
