hmmm with over 40 million copys of 7d2d sold on steam, xbox and ps5 over 8% of those accounts have killed at least 5 other players that means millions of people play PVP in this game.  HMMMMM......

You can unlock JC just by killing NPCs, a lot of people have done that via mods that added NPCS or by turning off trader protection.  In addition, players have started up servers with their friends to just run the numbers up to get the achievements.  I wouldn't take that number as gospel.

In addition, one can easily flip that around.  92% of the player base does not play PvP.

I guarantee you that 3/4 of those are from early game builds where you could kill traders, or mods like Darkness Falls that enable the code for bandits and survivors. Both of which count as PvP kills.

8% isn't exactly a relevant amount for your argument either. We've been here before.

Honestly, how I got the achievement was in A17 (I believe it was 500 kills needed back then) was by injecting the blood draw kit into my character over and over. 😛

It means nothing. I play alone and have killed other players.

This is getting ridiculous, you always turn the 2.0 dev thread into a PVP thing... Always! Grow up and post it in the General section at least. 🙄

He is 8.1% from 100% to finish his goal.. to understand that this is not how it is working :)

Nice post on twitter, Looking great!
Well, the weather (dust storm) looks amazing.  The bees or flies or whatever?  It honestly looks really bad.  And you hit them?  Even worse.  So much for me being excited to see that new zombie.  Might have to consider modding it out just to avoid that.  That kind of thing was done before in other games and had always looked bad.  Pretty much a copy cat move.

We have already talked about that with you.  Most people get that achievement without playing actual PVP.  They get a friend to let them kill them over and over to get the achievement or they are using an NPC mod, where killing NPCs counts towards the achievement.  Besides, didn't all your PVP talk already get moved to a separate thread so it isn't derailing this one?

with millions of pvp players playing this game and no talk of new pvp features in the update or dev diary, kind of odd.
Again, your post has nothing to do with the current discussion. I think "Grandpa" is a fitting pseudonym, as you're making no sense. Steam player charts just barely broke 125k concurrent players, it's impossible for there to be "millions of PVP players."

Dude, I truly feel sorry for your movement or lack there of. This is
your #2 movement isn't it, and you are pushing hard to get this movement
out, butt it just seems to be stuck, after 60 days that will happen. That
has got to be painful on so many levels.

First there is TFP regarding PVP, they love to give hints as shown in past
posts and all across multimedia, they don't even hint at a future for PVP
development in this game. I know it would make a person feel that their point of
view is made out to be irrelevant, in the forum.

Then there are the other forum members, that won't take your posts for completely,
unquestionably, forthright. Why?  I blame it on the myriad of data collection sites
available to the public.  Not fair.
It would be so much easier if they just accepted, everything you post as the truth,
wouldn't it?

Then your first big movement was given it's own podium, and has dropped in
popularity and relevance to page 5 of general discussion. At least it's not
at the bottom of the page, so that's something. If it were a part of the
Nielsen Rating, It would have been taken off the air. If it were an Opera the fat
mamma would have sung. Or it would be considered Dead as Disco, or the DODO
bird.

The only thing that is a bit perplexing though is, all of the people that you
are advocating for, It has to suck that they are not coming forth, to even try
to necro or bump the thread, or support and help you push your long held movement.

As a personal observation, you have a tendency in your posts to Mix Tenses.
Present and Past tense are not necessarily mutually interchangeable if you intend
to keep the same meaning. A direct example is A snapshot of April 25th 2022, the day
Alpha 20.4 was released, Past tense. Then you post "millions of people play PVP in
this game" You used the word Play vs Played; Present vs Past. Also singular incident
vs continuous behavior. It must be a bunch of typos, right. An example, To have shot
a rifle vs Is participating in the Purge. One is an instance the other is ongoing.

The question this brings up also is, if the millions of 7 days to die PVPers, and
Thousands that transgress your servers, do in fact exist. Then why do they not get
together and put together a clear and concise set of things that would enhance the
7 days to die PVP experience? Their lack of involvement seems to point to either; not
actually existing, Not thinking that the subject is important enough to fight for, or
that you are not important enough to fight for. I would go to where ever they are and
address that immediately, otherwise I don't think that anyone here will ever take you
seriously. And your PVP dreams will fade into the ether of irrelevance.

But there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I like Turtles.

So there's that.

Wait a minute, did you suggest that the millions of PVP players join up and work together to improve the state of PVP?

That doesn't seem like the sort of thing PVP players would do what with them favouring an insular, 'one against all' kind of lifestyle. :)

@ParadiseLostUK

Just trying to offer a semi, sort of, almost positive, but not
quite so much, view of how he could choose to approach an almost
but not completely hopeless, attempt at a Jedi recruitment campaign.

That was the best I could come up with. I mean it's gotta sting just a bit.

But it has truly become entertaining, in a morbid gallows semi depressing

but not Landmine goes click click boom yet, sort of humor.

Nice try (again). Those are STEAM achievements. So you can't count console copies sold. Stop playing with numbers to be able to act like PVP has any significance in this game. Apart from players that just want all those achievements and meet with some friends to kill eachother a few times and the many mods that have npc's which count as playerkills when kiled, the part of PVP players is still just a fraction of the the total playerbase. Learn to live with it.

Not to mention, that's the one for only killing 5 players.  The one for more players is an even lower percentage.  If someone was really playing PVP, they'd have gotten the achievement for killing even more players than 5.  So you have to look at that achievement at the very least.  And even then, as I said above, most of those who have that achievement aren't playing PVP and are either using mods that have NPCs or are achievement hunters.

Yeah, killing 5 players isn't PVP. That's friendly fire. Even the 25 one isn't PVP unless they tried it for a while, didn't like it and quit. Or they are just really bad. But I'm sure we'll see these "stats" again in the future, along with bogus hours played numbers.

We play with friendly fire turned on. Makes it more real and a challenge. That said I've killed my friends dozens of times, usually accidentally. Heck Neebs' crew probably accounts for .5% of this achievement. Never played more than a 1 hour pop up PvP game.
