PC Md5 error

Ive noticed if you are atleast 20 blocks from any building and restart the game once per in-game day I do 20:00 in-game time that crashes are far in between if at all and if you wipe the local save you lose nothing after a crash.

Ive tested this fully on a 200+ day save with no loss at all minus 1 death lol. Its tedious but saves a bit of the headache of being an Xbox user

Hi Windego,

Thank you for providing that information what what works for you. I think what you are describing is similar to the workaround other players have mentioned - https://7daystodie.com/forums/showthread.php?69218-Possible-work-around-and-or-solution-to-md5-crashes(base-wipes-resets)

I know it doesn't always work for players so its great to hear of successful avoidance of crashes and MD5 errors, even if the workaround is not idea for players to be performing.

If what you're describing is different in any way, please do let me know.

Thank you again,

Clare

The 10 to 20 block thing is a major help to be honest as I find loot resets can cause it such as trash, cars, boxes and so on which reset every so many set days via user settings

Thank you for clarifying that for me Windego, I shall pass this information onto the team and include it in my reports and questions I ask players.

MD5 is a hunter killer bug

Hey I just had a whopper of a MD5 error occur.

Yes it got sluggish before it occurred.

I was mining in a town.

But get this .... this is the strange bit.

I spread my forges and work benches around in the existing building in the town. This was in the pump station and the larger of the existing underground bunkers.

Well the error affected both locations and it was just the small areas in those buildings.

Both had a work bench written over.

one had a gun safe re written with all the goods in it gone.... I had actually replaced the existing safe with a new one.

The chem station , three forges and a work station in the pump station were all removed.

Yup I'm pretty annoyed about this.... I spread my stuff around and it took them all out.

And the areas re written were small compared to previous MD5 re writes.... maybe 12 x 12 or less...

Oh and another big thing.... they always happen the day before horde night... every time. So there must be something that triggers the day before horde night especially with work benches that's causing this to occur.

Anyway I'm playing something else for a while because it isn't fun when some big invisible bully kicks your sandcastle over and then hints down your other sandcastles and jumps on them too.

Please Please fix this annoying fault. Its too precise... its not sand people... the blaster marks a too precise .... its an Imperial attack.
