Seeing that the Rotten Meat seems to be scarce in the game and needed for planting plots...

I would recommend a Rotten meat maker...

Rotten Meat Recipe:

<recipe name="FoodRottenFlesh" count="1" craft_area="workbench" craft_time="24" tags="learnable">

<ingredient name="foodRawMeat" count="1"/>

<ingredient name="drinkJarRiverWater" count="1"/>

</recipe>

Not sure how craft_time works.. but make it so it takes about a game day... for it to rot...

of course it can be done in a chem or personal timer as well but who would bug down their personal craft timer for a day...

I figure iron deficiency and anemia would be problematic in the apocalypse, this provides extra iron in your diet and turns some less desirable ingredients into something more appetizing (slightly). Could increase HP regen momentarily? Also, appropriately spooky given the circumstances. Could also use raw meat (5?), in that case just 1 can of dog food would be required.

i see all sorts of nice recipe but im still wonderering ... the order of making can food..

i could cook a bottle of can water with food to get mij can of food. (not a jar because it would be in a can after all)

after the cooking it schould be in the work bench or a new tool !!! to close and precerf the food

So for me all the recipe for canned food should be with a can and water. this food should have an expire date (2 game days) until its closed in the workbench.

For the new tool a cancloser could be something like this:

Could use some more high end food for peeps who don't perk into the Huntsman or Animal Tracker

Miso-Braised Vegetables

<recipe name="foodMisoBraisedVegatables" count="1" craft_area="campfire" craft_tool="toolCookingPot" tags="learnable">

Nobody has all of that though. Lets try to limit it to 1-2 canned items, some meat and veggies for filler.
Depends on how you play. :)

I still default to bacon and eggs or boiled meat. Yeah sometimes I get sick, but whatever, just an annoyance.

There's a lot of creativity in this thread, I really like seeing things like Large Bone and Beer show up. Here's my share.

First, a bit more love for the new Pumpkin crop.

Veggie Burger:

A pumpkin-pea hash patty for the post-apocalyptic vegan.

<recipe name="foodVeggieBurger" count="1" craft_area="campfire" craft_tool="toolCookingGrill" tags="learnable">

<ingredient name="foodCropPumpkin" count="3"/>

<ingredient name="foodCropPotato" count="1"/>

<ingredient name="foodCanPeas" count="2"/>

<ingredient name="foodCornBread" count="1"/>

</recipe>

Notes: Increase crafting speed by +20%(360 sec)

Pumpkin Spice Shake:

PS latté is the beverage of the intellectual and the artistic. This is the 'creative' post-apocalypse substitute.

<recipe name="foodPSL" count="1" craft_area="campfire" craft_tool="toolCookingPot" tags="learnable">

<ingredient name="foodCropPumpkin" count="2"/>

<ingredient name="foodCanChili" count="1"/>

<ingredient name="resourceCropCoffeeBeans" count="1"/>

<ingredient name="drinkJarBoiledWater" count="1"/>

</recipe>

Notes: Intellect+2(600 sec).

Harvest Soup:

A hearty way to meet your weekly beta-carotene requirement in a world without carrots.

<recipe name="foodPumpkinSoup" count="1" craft_area="campfire" craft_tool="toolCookingPot" tags="learnable">

<ingredient name="foodCropPumpkin" count="5"/>

<ingredient name="foodCanStock" count="1"/>

<ingredient name="resourceAnimalFat" count="2"/>

<ingredient name="foodCropCorn" count="4"/>

</recipe>

Notes: Perception+2(600 sec).

Next, something for the Beef ration which doesn't appear in other recipes. The Lamb ration should be good in the other shepherd's pie ideas.

Beef Pot Roast:

A feast to commemorate the passing of seven moons.

<recipe name="foodBeefPotRoast" count="1" craft_area="campfire" craft_tool="toolCookingGrill" tags="learnable">

<ingredient name="toolCookingPot" count="1"/>

<ingredient name="foodCanBeef" count="1"/>

<ingredient name="foodRawMeat" count="4"/>

<ingredient name="foodCropPotato" count="5"/>

<ingredient name="drinkJarBeer" count="1"/>

</recipe>

Notes: Regenerate +1 point of Health every 15 seconds(300 seconds). Returns a Cooking Pot when eaten.
