Lower zed health, raise zed damage to player

Is there a mod (or has anyone else requested this) where the spongy zeds are no longer spongy but can still do a lot of damage to you (but no change to block damage)?

I love insane difficulty, but the sponginess is too ridiculous. I want the game to be difficult but I don't want to waste time kiting zeds around the room all day just because the best weapons in the game are effectively equivalent to a bb gun and the worst are equivalent to a plastic butter knife.

Is it possible? Could it also be easily adjustable for fine tuning?

 
Maybe, but I can't find one that only does one thing... like, there's one that makes it so you're only allowed to kill by headshot, which can make it annoying in rare situations where I can't hit the head at all due to clipping issues or something. Also, what effect would that do to animals, as some animals, like rabbits, have tiny heads and are difficult to hit at all let alone do a headshot? If there was one where headshots do much more damage and all other damage is default, that'd be fine, but I can't find that.

What about something more simple, like adjusting only the weapon damages to zeds/animals/players... so like, a weapon does # times more damage to whatever spot it hits on the zed or whatever?

Or, figure out the damage amount of weapons on normal difficulty zeds, then modify the game to stay that way on higher difficulty settings while still allowing the zeds to do more damage to the player on the higher difficulty settings. Sort of like a partial copy paste or something.
