Lost my clothes backing up game?

I had to reinstall Windows so I saved the 7 days "saves" folder and then moved it back. Actually the ENTIRE 7 Days To Die folder (under users/roaming). All is fine except I lost all my clothes! And all the stuff I had on my character. My character is the same level and all... I just lost the stuff ON my guy. Is it because I backed it up wrong? Or because my new character is a different character? Do I have to create a new character with the same "old" name? I am not sure what that would have been...

 
The save file was for 1 character, so ya, when you changed the character, the game thought you were a new person. Your old character is probably still saved though.

 
So what do I do to get it back? Just make a new character with the same name? How do I know the old character? And it was strange that it kept the characters stats and level, just lost the backpack and clothes.

 
I don't know how the game was coded, especially since they keep changing things all the time, so I could very well be wrong... but it's worth a try if it means getting your stuff back right?

 
I see a player profile file with the name like: 4556985422584452.tff Maybe if I just change the name of the OLD one to replace the NEW one? (after backing up new and old) I am guessing ALSO the map file.

 
It looks like that file contains all my "stuff". I see stuff like "�minibikeSeat�minibikeHandlebars�sledgehammer�" and crap in it. I'll just swap out the file names and see if that works. Thank you.
