Even having to "R" every time, this thing is the cat's meow.

One more day to BM, and I will be able to assess true value :).

 
One of the reasons I prefer the bow in houses is not having to hit R, but yeah the range and punch of the xbow is way over the top until you get into the composite bows and xbows.

Add that you can put a 4x scope on the xbow and it becomes a horde killer.

 
I have more fun with bows and they take a little more skill.  I can't put a scope on bows so I use crossbows. 

 
I was a bit annoyed when the crossbows didn´t reload automatically anymore. Now i don´t even have think about it anymore. It´s worth it tbh. With mods and points in archery it´s an awesome weapon, even more when you increased your sneak damage.

 
Ya, a bit of getting used to, so still using bow when clearing PoI, but in BM it was outstanding, I think is an ammo saver.  Even if rock arrows are cheap and plenty, it less of a miss with the xbow.  With it, I now find myself hunting Zs in the wild while foraging for RSS :).

Yes the bow takes skill, and I think I am pretty good with it, but MEH.

 
Was thinking double click on the fire, going ot have to try.  I've used the bow for so long, need to reprogram the electrons in my head.  Keep thinking I am going to refire right away heh.

 
Under Items.xml crossbow

Change false to true and it will auto reload.

You can only build it once you've killed the Duke and looted his private stash to get the recipe.
