With the recent update I saw that higher tier POI's removed quality 6 gear. I personally think that is a very bad move due to having a stat like loot stage, the whole point of loot stage is to increase the odds of you getting great gear. This gives builds more diversity, while not being forced to have to craft or use traders to get gear. If I am wrong on this matter and you can still get quality 6 items let me know but I don't believe you can. I would like a revert on this change if not then remove loot stage it's pointless.

Technically they said they removed it from infested loot.  That could mean specifically the infested loot cache box.

I have not gotten to that point in a run yet, so I can't say.

 
Because level 6 gear used to be fairly easy to find, crafting it became pointless. Now it's simply not in loot, forcing players to collect magazines.

 
then you might as well remove loot stage then, its a wasted stat is my point. playing a game shouldn't "force" you into playing a certain way.

There is no point in the game that hinges upon you having a Q6 of anything. The magazine spam sucks, the crafting balance is pretty poor and the grinding mechanics weird.

But loot stage itself is still the mechanic that makes the difference between stone tools and steel tools. I wouldn't mind a more natural looting system, like food stores having food and gun stores having guns, but doing away with loot stage without describing a replacement is just .. well, whiny.

 
I think the problem is not that Q6 is no longer available, making loot stage feel pointless, its more that only Q6 is worth worrying about at all.  A full set of Q4 gear, for example, I hardly notice.  It may as well have no stats other than armor class.  Q6 bonuses are typically double what is on Q5, making Q6 not just the best, but so much better that I have trouble caring about q4 and down.

While leveling, i'll put on whatever piece I find as long as its the right type (light/med/hvy) depending on my playstyle.  But I don't craft or go out of my way to find anything at all until I'm crafting my endgame Q6.  Only exception being nerd armor, but that's a different problem.
