Loot Stage for Two Biome Horde Base

What happens if you build a horde base with a killing corridor where you are standing in the Pine Forest, but the path to you is in the Wasteland, and all the zombies die and bags fall in the Wasteland? Which biome and loot stage would the bags be calculated from?

It's determined by where your character stands at the moment you loot the bag.
Source: I did a test a few alphas ago, dropped bags near the border, bags nor zeds never touched the higher side: looting from the higher side spawned loot that wouldn't have been possible to loot on the lower side.

Thanks, theFlu. A little further...so the zombies level should stay leveled to the Pine Forest, but the loot (dropped in Wasteland) would get biome bonus as long as I stood in the Wasteland to pick it up? My wife and I have been playing for several years now on and off, and this is the first time we've done a completely random gen world. Ended up with Pine Forest right against Wasteland. At our level, we could never survive a Wasteland horde night, but it would be a huge leap if we could get Pine Forest horde with Wasteland loot bags.

Umm, yeh. Horde difficulty is set when the horde starts, and remains at that level the entire night. If you're standing in Pine Forest at 22:00, you'll have an easy horde. Even if you then move into a base entirely in the wasteland; but nothing wrong in having one that spans both.

For groups, I think everyone needs to be in the Pine; the group difficulty is a weighted average, heavily favoring the highest individual GS, so anyone in the Wasteland will increase the stage dramatically.

Thanks again. We might try it on the next HN. This world started us out with the trader 100 yards from the Wasteland so building a base on the road should be easy. And since we play this for fun and stress release, this would be a lot of fun.
