Looking for Prefabs...

Howdy.

I am looking for some prefabs for an Admin town I am building, maybe a Castle, a Maze, etc.

is there a list of prefabs or do I just look around this forum?

also do I add them using Coppis Mod or ? I am the server owner/Admin.

Most prefabs are grabbed by mag for the compo pack, but otherwise yeh just scroll through the pages on this subthread looking for them. You won't find a lot, Prefabbing is a dying art. =(

...and the ones you do find are likely a14 or lower.

 
New prefabbers.

Tom has been redoing old ones, but there are very few people producing new ones. I had (checking) 37 people on my prefab server. I think it generated about 10 prefabs, if that?

 
Yes,

~ 130 downloads per month (prefab editor, mediafire mirror)

~ 250 downloads per month (updates for prefab editor, mediafire mirror)

~ 10 - 20 ??? downloads per month (unfinished skyscraper)

Unfortunately, dropbox doesn't track the downloads automatically.

Could be worse. :)

 
What about historically?

Yeh, I'm sure prefabbing will "come back" when the editor gets released and steam workshop is a thing, but those will all suck, because they won't have been built by people who worked hard on learning HOW to build them; they'll be built by... filthy casuals. Blech. =)

 
so looking at the editor. is there a limit to the number of pixels that an image that is imported into a prefab can have? we had a mod on rust that allowed 32bit graphic images to be imported. seems like 8 bit only in 7DTD.

 
I'm in the same boat because after over a year, magolis prefab pack... I've seen them all and want fresh content.

My new goal is to build them myself. I have been building my own for ages, but I might as well build my own pack at this point.
