PC List of Item/Vehicle/Weapon Mods

I'd like to post this and perhaps a forum moderator could sticky it for a month.

[Just until we get used to it.]

I'm trying to figure out what mods go where and finding it a little confusing.

This coming from a veteran. [imagine a new player.]

I'd like to know why my minibike goes so damn slow.

Is it the quality?

Does it need mods?

- If so which ones make it go faster?

What can I put on my Club?

What can I put on my Gun?

What are all the things I can add to my Armour?

See what I mean?

We need a List of Tools/Weapons/Vehicles and their corresponding mods.

I just don't know where to find this.

Patch notes that I looked through talk about mods but not much else.

I'm really hoping I missed something and someone else found it.

Sadly looks like it will be trial and error for now lol
This information could have been released with A17.

Though.... technically it's a little early since what we have is A17e.

It's a little frustrating but... like you say... trial and error.

 
Tier one mods

Here is a breakdown of the mods that there are schematics for, This is just tier one for now- I will do tier 2 and 3 tomorrow. Please note there are currently no tier 4 or 5 mods- so dont waste your perk points yet

RANGED WEAPON MODS

Muzzle Brake: reduced recoil

--Used on: pistol, magnum, smg, shotgun, hunting rifle, ak47, marksman rifle

Weapon Flashlight- Light -

--Used on: pistol, magnum, smg, blunderbuss, shotgun, hunting rifle, ak47, marksman rifle, nailgun

Scope 2x: Increased visual magnification

--Used on: Crossbow, pistol, magnum, smg, blunderbuss, shotgun, hunting rifle, ak47, marksman rifle

Trigger group: Semi: Fire semi-auto only

--Used on: pistol, smg, ak47, marksman rifle, nailgun

Bipod: increased aimed accuracy

--Used on: - hunting rifle, ak47, marksman rifle

Fore Grip: Improved handling/aiming accuracy

--Used on: SMG, shotgun, hunting rifle, AK47, marksman rifle

Shotgun Duckbill: tightens spread -

--Used on: shotgun

Shotgun Choke- modifies spread to horizontal pattern -

--Used on: shotgun

Magazine Extender: increased magazine capacity

--Used on: pistol, SMG, AK47, marksman rifle

Sawed-off Shotgun Barrel: No description

--Used on: shotgun

The Hunter: Increased damage to human beings

--Used on: EVERYTHING... Compound Bow, Crossbow, Wooden Bow, Hunting Knife, Wooden Club, Iron Reinforced Club, Machete, Sledgehammer, pistol, magnum, SMG, blunderbuss, shotgun, hunting rifle, AK47, rocket launcher, marksman rifle

MELEE WEAPON MODS

Serrated Blade: Greater chance to inflict bleeding

--Used on: Hunting Knife, Machete, Stone axe, Taza's Stone axe, Steel fire axe, Iron fire axe

ARMOR MODS:

Insulated Liner: Insulation from Cold

-- Used on: ALL

Cooling Mesh: Insulation against heat

-- Used on : ALL

Improved Fittings: Decrease movement/stamina penalties from armor

-- Used on: ALL

Reinforced Padding: Improved Armor Rating

-- Used on: Padded, Leather, Military, Mining Helmet, Football Helmet

Scrap Plating: Improved Armor Rating

-- Used on Scrap, Iron, Steel, Swat Helmet

Helmet Light: Its a light (has durability/quality level)

-- Used on: ALL

Spiked Knuckle: Increased unarmed damage

-- Used on: ALL (Should be gloves only- but currently allows all)

Storage Pocket: Decrease encumbrance penalty by 1

Has anyone actually been able to craft ANY mods? I have a few dozen of the schematics, but cannot craft any of them (with level 4 in the perk).

Customized Fittings: Greatly decreased movement/stamina penalties from armor

--Used on: All

Double Storage Pocket: Decreased encumbrance penalty by 2

Impact Bracing: Reduced fall damage

--Used on: All Boots

Water Purifier: purifies water consumed

--Used on: (Should only be attachable to helmet, currently attachable to all)

Advanced Muffled Connectors: Reduced noise

Scope 8x: Increased Visual Magnification

Trigger Group- Full Auto: Fire full auto only

--Used on: Pistol, SMG, Marksman Rifle, AK47, Nailgun

Rod and Spring Replacement: increased fire rate and recoil

--Used on: Pistol, SMG, Marksman Rifle, AK47, Nailgun

Polymer String: Arrows and bolts fly quicker and further

--Used on: Wooden Bow, Compound Bow (currently not attachable to crossbows)

MELEE WEAPON MODS

Tempered Blade: Increased damage and durability

--Used on: Hunting Knife, Machete, Stone Axe, Taza's Stone Axe, Iron Fireaxe, Steel Fireaxe

Metal Spikes: lower enemy armor rating by 20%

--Used on: Reinforced Club,

Ergonomic Grip: decreased stamina usage by 20%

--Used on: Hunting Knife, Wooden Club, Reinforced Club, Machete, Sledgehammer, All tools

ARMOR MODS:

Military Plating: Improved Armor Rating

--Used on: Padded, Leather, Military, Mining Helmet, Football Helmet

Steel Plating: Improved Armor Rating

--Used on: Scrap, Iron, Steel, Swat Helmet

Muffled Connectors: Reduced noise

--Used on: All

Triple Storage Pocket: Decreased encumbrance penalty by 3

--Used on : All

Bandolier: Reload 30% faster

--Used on: All Chest armor Except military (description says should be usable on leg armor as well, but its not)

 
Some quick notes/bugs that I noticed

1. Currently mods are not craftable, or atleast the ones I have tried craft.

2. T1 mods with no attached recipes are in our loot tables (looking at you rad remover)

3. Muffled connectors/advanced muffled connectors seem to be swapped

4. Spiked knuckles should only be attachable to floves

5. water purifier should only be attachable to Helmets

6. Bandoleer is not usable with military armor

7. polymer string cant attach to crossbows

8. There are no T4 or T5 mods

The stuff i posted above, I pulled the schematics from the creative menu, and checked to see which had recipes, then i took those and each peice of armor/ weapon/ tool to see what mods i could attach to which items.

There are other mods in the creative menu that i did not look into.

Let me know if I missed anything important

Alot of the mods are bugged currently and missing the proper entries in the xmls so they are craftable, same issue with chem station and table saw.

 
Modding is in its infancy, so there are / going to be a lot of issues.

We don't even have enough mods to fill out 5 slots in a lot of items right now.

Give it time, but in the meanwhile a bit of community unity to figure out what goes where is a good idea :tickled_pink:
