PC Level gating. Why it ok for other games but not 7DTD

I much prefer the slower progression. It means we can play for weeks rather than days before we've done everything and are bored
Nobody (well... most) that is arguing against level-gating is against slower progression.

I know I'm not!

It is the arificiallity of the way it's slowed down. A good system would not directly tell the player that he can't do that until he grinds some more levels.

Examples are SO many that I don't know which I have already given in this and other theads.

All of them would do the same thing:

Slow the progression of the player.

But level-gating is the worst of the bunch.

Has anyone considered wearing items that increase basic stats? I know black glasses give perception and i think nerdy glasses give intelligence (need to confirm). Of course you need to find the glasses... Or am i stupid and it won't work like that?

If so, you don't need level 20 to get the forge, you need intelligence level 3 (i think it's on level 10? correct me if i'm wrong, i can't remember...) and then you can invest points into the forge. After you craft the forge, make the anvil, make some forge iron and make the iron tools, you can easily take off the glasses and do anything...
