Sorry I have been gone awhile and havent played 7DTD plus I couldnt find my answer in the search area of the forums. If someone knows the answer please help!!!!!!

1: Can you dig up a landmine without setting it off? Like removing the block underneath it.

2: Whats the odds of a mine killing me if I have a full set of Iron Armor on and over 100 health? Probably about 130 health....

 
No, pretty sure even destroying the block under it will set it off.

As of right now very likely. Maybe the next up coming update will change this but can't say for sure right now.

 
Thanks Crazy much appreciated. I have a mine underground that runs in the wasteland and I was wanted to put a ladder up to the wasteland and then build a smaill tower up. Kind of a look out tower but im worried when I dig up to ground level im going to run into a land mine.

1 more question: What happens if you place a adobe block or a wooden spike trap onto the top of a land mine.....I would guess that it sets it off but not forsure.

 
Interesting question. Im kinda curious about this now too.

Im guessing it wont let you place a block over top of it, if you try, the block will most likely fall over and just break. Dont know for sure though.

If you try it, let us know. I am curious if you can dig from under the mine or even what'll happen if you dig out the block underneath the mine.

 
thatguybeard’s rules for exploring the wasteland (patent pending)

The 1st rule for exploring the wasteland: “You do not go into the wasteland.”

The 2nd rule for exploring th wasteland: “You do not go into the wasteland!”

Also known as the “Fight Club” approach so that could be why the patent is being held up. (I apologize if someone else did that bit but great minds think alike)

However for the op if you really want to dig up and build that tower I would recommend digging until you are under a road or trail. I think there is less chance of a landmine being there but I am not 100% sure so please someone correct me if I’m wrong.

 
Roads and trails do not have them. However they have been right on the edge of the two so if you so if you do this you need to make sure you are not on the edge but more in the center.

As I said above the odds of you digging straight up into one is slim. But just to be sure have a bedroll under you so for backup for that unlucky slim chance you do hot one.

To come and think about it you might not die with full armor digging up to it. I just know on land I have only survived on a minibike on console but that was probably because of lag. Because other times I have drove into them and died.

Well here is your answer. You have no worries digging up to them then.

 
Ive made 2 towers so far and nothing exploded! i agree that it should be rare to dig up to one but if you knew my luck......welll.......anyways all i dig up is 1 block to attack the ladder to and 1 for me to pop up from. Then I place blocks in a square around me and then hop on them to place some wood log spikes.

I tried shooting them. Nothing happens. Specifically, the ones inside the vault in little survivor town POI. I open the vault, see the mines, shoot at them, nothing happens. Walk inside and boom! Dead. Is there no way to disarm these?

 
I know ive had to shoot one a few times, especially using the stone arrows.

I dont know if ive ever tried shooting one with a gun as i rarely use guns, except for on horde night.

 
just happened again. moving real slow starting at the ground suddenly boom. 1 hit kill. invisible landmine kills me again. these need removed. it's almost impossible to play this way. im so sick of getting killed by something you can't see. just take them out. if you can add them you can remove them.

 
i was doing really well last night must have ran for about 10 k in the destroyed zone and could see those little blue bA8TARDS so stayed away from those. got to spitting distance of my base looked around and saw a cop, side stepped to go around him .... BOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM
